Although our flowers are cut fresh after you order and sent directly from our Fair Trade grower, follow these simple tips to get the most out of your flower arrangement.

• Remove all external packaging.
• Remove the gel pack at the base by holding your bouquet over a sink and cutting off the elastic band.
• Discard the gel pack in the garbage, not in a sink. Gently lay the flower arrangement on its side and cut 1 inch off the bottom of the stems at a 45° angle.
• Place your bouquet in a vase large enough to allow the stems to reach at least half-way down into the water.
• Fill it three quarters full with warm, clean water and add one sachet of the flower food supplied.
• Make sure your vase is completely clean as dirt contains bacteria which will develop and eventually block the inner tubes that carry water up the stems.
• Place your flowers away from heating or cooling vents and radiators.
• Avoid direct sunlight; flowers perform best in light, cool places at room temperature.
• Avoid placing flowers near fruit as fruit will release ethylene gas which makes flowers age very quickly.
• If possible,mist daily.
• Keep the water level topped up and change water frequently.
• Before replacing stems in fresh water, add flower food and trim them again.
