Can you deliver flowers the same day I order? No. To assure freshness, your flowers aren’t harvested, hydrated and packed until you order them. Your flowers will also need an additional day to reach their destination via FedEx from our farm in South America. We cannot deliver flowers the same day.
Is freshness guaranteed? Yes. Our flowers are shipped directly to their destination from the grower. Most flowers sold in the USA go through an importer, a wholesaler and then a retailer , which can take up to 10 days We avoid the middle men in order to guarantee our customers beautiful, longer-lasting stems.
Can you guarantee on time delivery? No. On very few occasions we have had airline delays, bad weather, etc. that have caused flowers to arrive one day later. Unless it is absolutely necessary, we recommend that you allow yourself one extra day so that the flowers will be there on the requested date or a day earlier. We depend on FedEx’s local delivery schedules for your area and in most cases flowers will arrive before noon on the delivery date.
Can I order flowers by phone? Yes. You can call us at our toll free number, 1-866-493-2531, and we will take your order over the phone. Our business hours are: Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. EST.

What is the guarantee behind the Fair Trade Certification seal? Fair Trade Certification guarantees better working conditions and benefits for workers in developing countries. In order for a product to display the Fair Trade Certification seal it must comply with strict labor and environmental standards set by Fair Trade Labeling Organizations International.
What is Fair Trade? “Fair Trade is a trading partnership, based on dialogue, transparency and respect, that seeks greater equity in international trade. It contributes to sustainable development by offering better trading conditions to, and securing the rights of, marginalized producers and workers - specially in the South. Fair Trade organizations (backed by consumers) are engaged actively in supporting producers, awareness raising and in campaigning for changes in the rules and practice of conventional international trade. Fair Trade's strategic intent is: deliberately to work with marginalized producers and workers in order to help them move from a position of vulnerability to security and economic self-sufficiency to empower producers and workers as stakeholders in their own organizations to actively play a wider role in the global arena to achieve greater equity in international trade.”(Definition taken from http://www.fairtrade.net).
Are Fair Trade flowers more expensive? No. We believe that our prices are very competitive with other online options available today if you consider and compare stem quantity, bouquet size, and freshness. The Fair Trade system guarantees better working conditions and benefits to both producers and workers by offering them two major monetary advantages that can have an impact on the end price: Fair Trade minimum price and Fair Trade worker premium. The Fair Trade minimum price is a guaranteed price that covers the cost of sustainable production. The Fair Trade worker premium enables BetterEarthFlowers.com to send 10% of the F.O.B value of each flower purchase directly to the workers of the farms where the Fair Trade flowers were acquired. These funds are invested by the employees of these farms in social, health and education projects which allow all of the workers and their families to benefit from them. The Fair Trade Foundation (FLO), and Transfair USA audit these transactions. |
